We have been working in partnership with Southwark Council since taking over the running of the Burgess Park Tennis Centre in 2011. We are grateful for this support in allowing us to develop tennis in the local area.
Boost Charitable Trust was created in 2005 to Build On Over-looked Sporting Talent, to champion the disabled and disadvantaged and to inspire them to overcome their challenges through the power of sport. Since inception, Boost has supported a number of organisations, with grants totalling in excess of £1 million. The majority has been focussed within the United Kingdom.
The Norton Rose Charitable Foundation has been supporting a number of community sports clubs in Southwark since 2010 after moving to new offices in the borough. The Together for Sport initiative has allowed us to offer free and subsidised coaching for husbands of children in the borough. The grant scheme is ably administered by the Capital Community Foundation.
The Tennis Foundation is Britain’s leading tennis charity believing anybody can play tennis. Anyone from any background and any community. No matter what their age, shape or ability. We are working with the Foundation and Charterhouse in promoting tennis to children in the north of Southwark.
The main purpose of the Charterhouse in Southwark charity is to make grants to charitable organisations working with young people. They have been very generous in partnership with the Tennis Foundation to allow us to provide free coaching sessions to school children.
