Congratulations to MJ Changwereza who won the National Grade 2 Girls 10 and under title at Gosling Tennis Centre.
Our strongest ever Girls tournament at Burgess Park resulted in Naomi Brown taking the runner up spot to Crystal Sutar. In the boys event Abdullahi Daud lost in a match tiebreak in the semi finals while Andrew Brown lost a close match at the same stage. The two played a third place match with Abdullahi winning through in a tight encounter.
The twins Michael and Joshua Frimpong contested the final of the red tournament on Saturday with the former taking the gold medal. Some good tennis and a notable performance from Teddy Upton.
Corporations don't always get the best press but we have received great support recently from Norton Rose Fulbright, Barclays and Statoil.
Many thanks to Barclays for giving us 45 tickets for our volunteers and juniors to go to the O2 on Monday to see the Wawrinka vs Berdych match. Everyone had a great time and we got some brilliant seats.
